A typical monsoon landscape in western route train journeys |
Another rainy day and experiencing the joys of getting drenched. There are times when you have to wait long (real long) for the rains to soak this semi-arid part of the country. The rain God seems happy this year though!
I
love the rains. The sight of Cumulonimbus, the first drops on grass, the
fragrance in the air, the pitter-patter on roof tops, dancing peacocks, the
slosh of puddles and if you are lucky enough, the rainbow!
They bring along a lot of freshness. And a lot of snapshots from the past- making paper boats, nursery rhymes, dancing in rain, ‘joy rides’ along winding roads, ‘adrak’ chai, the ever humble Maggi, sitting by window side and reading your favourite book, or simply being by yourself.
Well, no luck yet with a good peacock picture, though I see them everyday! |
